These poems arise from the Word Press course ‘Writing: Into The Poetry’.
The Day 1 theme is ‘water’ using haiku and tanka.
Water haiku
Like a liquid rope,
this sacred secret spring
binds me to the earth
Water tanka
All things seem possible
when we look across water
from the solid shore,
scanning our life horizon,
charting our new destiny.
These are both excellent, Doug. I am a big supporter of preserving our water and made a cake to raffle in support of this cause with the world depicted as a desert with a giant dripping tap in the middle.
