I agree about the first honourable mention, by the way, but maybe you could say it wasn’t an actual story, just two opposing views?
Then again, the same might be said about second place.

I used to do similar competitions. Never won and just like the proverbial bridesmaid, I got tired of it all. We come up against some crazy good writers and the comp is steep so enjoy your win!
