How tempting to say ‘yes’, Zelda, but that would be a lie. Would that it were so, although short pieces usually flow easily enough once I have core idea fixed in my head. It’s the idea that’s the hard bit. Longer stuff goes through more draughts than a wind tunnel and many never see the light of day at all. Just like almost every writer I know. 🙂
